A terrific geographic fit with culturally-aligned people

Leading NSW agribusiness Delta Ag has expanded its operations with the acquisition of WMG Agriservices (WMG), who have locations at Wee Waa, Moree and Goondiwindi.

Delta Ag managing director Gerard Hines said the merger with WMG, which had been operating in a joint venture with Ruralco, would create a much larger combined regional agribusiness, putting the Delta group in 28 locations with a staff of 230, including 40 agronomist/advisors.“It’s a terrific geographic fit for us with culturally-aligned people,” Mr Hines said.

Troy Hunt and Matt Jones, of WMG, said as their business continued to evolve, it had become evident they needed to rethink the previous joint venture partnership, with the Delta merger announcement paving the way for a bright future for the business and its Goondiwindi-based shareholders.

Originating in southern NSW, Delta Ag has grown strongly in the past 11 years to become a major independent supplier of farm inputs, agronomy and advisory services, and grain and livestock marketing to the NSW farming community.
